Andrew Nurmi

Andrew Nurmi joined Mindell Law as a clerk in the Summer of 2022, while he was in law school at Wayne State University. He stayed with the firm during his third year and became a full-time attorney after graduating law school and passing the Michigan Bar Exam in 2023. Andrew is experienced in injury cases involving auto accidents, slip- or trip-and-fall accidents, and general negligence.

Before coming to Mindell Law, Andrew worked for Legal Services of Eastern Michigan, where he assisted in protecting at-risk families and individuals facing eviction in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Andrew has also interned for the Grand Rapids City Attorney’s Office, has worked on a number of political campaigns, and remains heavily involved in local and state government.

Andrew received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Grand Valley State University in 2020. Andrew then proceeded immediately to Wayne State University Law School. At Wayne Law, Andrew participated in the Disability Law Clinic where he successfully negotiated with local school districts to increase safety measures for young students with disabilities. He was also part of the Student Board of Governors executive board, as well as the Mock Trial executive board, and competed in national Mock Trial competitions.
