Involved in a hit and run?
Hit & Run
I was involved in a hit and run car accident. Can I get money for my pain and suffering?
Thanks for the question. That may depend on whether you are entitled to Uninsured Motorist (or UM for short) coverage. We did a blog about Uninsured motorist coverage recently that you should read. UM coverage may be available to you from your own policy, the policy of the car you were traveling in, or an automobile insurance policy from a relative who you live with. It may also depend on the contractual language of the policy and how the accident occurred, such as whether there was contact or not with the car you were in, and whether the police were called and if it was reported in a timely manner to the insurance company.
In short, the answer is yes you may have a claim for pain and suffering, but we can’t tell you that until we know all the facts.
Please call, we are always more than happy to discuss these matters free of charge.
Many times old clients of our firm contact us to make sure their insurance coverage is adequate. We are always more than happy to talk to you about your automobile insurance policy. We may be able to explain some aspects of your policy that you do not understand. It may help to have an attorney’s perspective on your policy. Make sure your coverage is what you want and expect. There is nothing more frustrating than getting into an auto accident and not having the coverage you thought you had. Call us to discuss your coverage.

I APPRECIATE WHAT YOU DID FOR ME IN SUCH A TIMELY MANNER AND THE SURPRISING AMOUNT. ALSO, THANK YOU FOR RETURNING MY PHONE CALLS. A LOT OF ATTORNEYS DON'T DO THAT. I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU.
Dear Mr. Mindell,
Your slogan states: “Experience Dedication Success”. I believe in my heart, strongly added to that should have been, “Honest Fair Integrity”. For those are the finest principles in you, and that was my experience of what you most importantly instilled and guide your practice on. Thank you so much. I do so respect you.
You folks are amazing! It’s a pleasure to work with people that under-promise and over-deliver—many thanks for all that you’ve done.
You went all out to help me when I needed it, and I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You helped make my life so much better.
