Is there a time limit in which I must make a claim after an accident?
YES!!!  On our website, you will see many references to statutes and/or time periods in which your case must be filed or notice must be given.  You always hear lawyers making a big a deal about this because it is a VERY big deal.  It doesn’t happen often, but every once in awhile we get a call from someone who was slow or indecisive about making a claim, and simply waited too long before they contacted an attorney.

It is always extremely unfortunate when we have to tell someone that their claim is barred because the statute ran or they didn’t put the proper party on notice within the correct period of time.  That’s why it’s so incredibly important to contact our firm as soon as you’re injured.  There is no harm in contacting us, and you will become more educated about the law and your case at with a FREE CONSULTATION.

I tripped and fell, and now have some bad injuries. Do I have a case?
Every case is so incredibly different, the short answer is that you may, but we cannot say for sure until we get more details about your case.  Slipping and falling on black ice, for example, is very different from tripping over broken concrete from a legal perspective.  To give you advise on your specific case, we really need to talk to you and get the facts.

Our firm specializes in slip, trip and fall cases, and we have had many clients tell us that other firms have turned down their case – we then take their case and many times get great settlements for them.  Sometimes another attorney who does not specialize in this area of the law may not know the intricacies of Michigan law, and may not have the experience to give the advice needed.
I would say your best course of action is to call our firm and talk to us. There is no charge, and we give you all the information you need to make an educated decision as to how you want to move forward.

I fell and don’t have medical insurance. Can I get some assistance?
Did you know that if you fall at a business, even if it was considered your fault, you may be able to get some of your medical bills covered?

Some insurance policies for businesses or individuals have what’s called Medical Payment Coverage or med pay that pays up to a certain amount of your medical bills.  This is not always the case, and sometimes the insurance adjuster will not tell you about it unless you ask, even then they do tell you, they may give you a hard time in paying your bills. Call us, we can help, or at least advise your regarding this.

Nowadays, every penny counts.  And if you were injured on another’s property and you don’t have medical insurance or have high co-pays and deductibles, it may be a major financial strain.  Many people call me just to say they just want their medical bills paid and nothing more, they are stressed about missing work, losing their job, or not having the money to pay the extra medical expenses.  We understand, and sometimes we can give advice that helps.  Call us so we can help you.
